Welcome to my Site!

That’s me and this is my website, proof that I completed the gateway course of the Minor in Writing. Here, you’ll find my portfolio, a compilation of the work assigned to me through the gateway course. I also attached some other pieces I’ve written in college. This website aims not only to demonstrate my ability as a writer but to show how sacred a place writing holds in my life. I hope you enjoy exploring this diverse body of work, please feel free to browse.

About Me

I am junior at the University of Michigan, majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in writing. Born and raised in Washington D.C., I have always enjoyed keeping up with politics but never intended on becoming a politician. Instead, I have aspired to become a doctor ever since I was a kid. Here at Michigan, I work in a biopsychology lab and volunteer at an HIV clinic near campus. My interests also include hiking, throwing the football around, and reading with my dog. As an only child, my parents have undeniably been the biggest influences in my life. That's a picture of us from back in the day.  They’ve been there each step of the way and played a large role in helping me become the writer I am today. I can honestly say that, without them, I would not have grown so fond of reading as a kid. To read more about how they influenced my development as a writer, check out my “Why I Write” piece!
